Angela Brower will make her house debut at the Vienna State Opera this fall, in Rossini’s classic comedy Il barbiere di Siviglia. She has previously performed the role at the Bayerische Staatsoper, garnering critical acclaim for her “cheerful and charming” portrayal (A Rosina is Born). Ms. Brower takes the stage on September 29 and October 3, with a star-studded cast including Javier Camarena as Count Almaviva, Christopher Maltman as Figaro, Paolo Rumetz as Bartolo, and Ryan Speedo Green singing Basilio. Guillermo García Calvo leads the Vienna State Opera Orchestra and Chorus for this production, directed by Richard Bletschacher.
