This fall, Angela Brower makes her highly-anticipated house debut at the Vienna State Opera, as Rosina in Rossini’s sparkling comedy Il barbiere di Siviglia. Her previous portrayal at the Bayerische Staatsoper won her critical acclaim, highlighting her “cheerful and charming” performance (A Rosina is Born). Angela makes her debut September 29 and October 3, with a spectacular international cast including Javier Camarena as Count Almaviva, Christopher Maltman sings Figaro, Paolo Rumetz is Bartolo, and Ryan Speedo Green is Basilio. Guillermo García Calvo leads the Vienna State Opera Orchestra and Chorus for this production, directed by Richard Bletschacher.
