‘The Cunning Little Vixen’ at Bayerische Staatsoper

On March 8, 10, and 14, Angela Brower returns to Bayerische Staatsoper, reprising her role as the Fox in The Cunning Little Vixen.

Opera News praised her previous performance of the Fox in this production, saying “Angela Brower, in more than a welcome return to her former theatre, brought her fulsome voice, her gorgeous tonal colour and her acting talent to the part of the Fox. The scenes between the Vixen and the Fox were touching, enthralling, charming and sexy all at once.”

Brower joins an exciting ensemble cast, featuring Elena Tsallagova as the Vixen, Wolfgang Koch as the Forester, Brenton Ryan as the Schoolmaster, Milan Siljanov as the Poacher, and Claire Barnett-Jones as the Forester’s Wife. Lothar Koenigs leads the cast in Barrie Kosky’s imaginative production.
