‘Der Rosenkavalier’ at Dutch National Opera

Angela Brower reprises Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier at the Dutch National Opera this month. She has sung this signature role at many of the world’s leading opera houses to great acclaim.

Of her performance in the role with the Bayerisches Staatsorchester at Carnegie Hall, The New York Times wrote “Angela Brower sang Octavian with plush, full sound, yet also youthful brightness and flashes of cocky energy.”

Brower will share the stage with an impressive cast that includes Maria Bengtsson as the Marschallin, Christof Fischesser as Baron Ochs, Martin Gantner as Herr von Faninal, Nina Minasyan as Sophie, Iris van Wijnen as Marianne Leitmerzerin,  Marcel Reijans as Valzacchi, Annina Eva Kroon as Annina. Lorenzo Viotti conducts Philipp Gloger’s sumptuous production which premiered in 2015 at the company.

The performances occur on April 13, 16, 19, 23, 26, 29, and May 2.
