‘Le nozze di Figaro’ at Palm Beach Opera

Angela Brower makes an exciting debut at Palm Beach Opera on April 4, 5, and 6, singing the mischievous Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. It’s a role she has sung to great acclaim, including on recording, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Voix des Arts praised that performance, saying “Singing the lovesick Cherubino with polished, pristine tone and tasteful ornamentation, American mezzo-soprano Angela Brower brings the rather foolish lad to life without either condescending to or overdoing efforts at conveying masculinity.”
Brower joins a cast of lauded Mozarteans in Stephen Lawless’ production, including John Chest and Hailey Clark as the Count and Countess Almaviva, Adam Plachetka and Inna Demenkova as Figaro and Susanna, Dale Travis as Don Bartolo, Lucy Schaufer as Marcellina, and Thomas Glenn as Don Basilio/Don Curzio. Gary Thor Wedow conducts.
