Le Nozze di Figaro in Salzburg

Angela Brower stars as Cherubino in a new production of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro staged by Rolando Villazón on January 24 and 26. These performances take place at Salzburg’s Felsenreitschule and also feature Regula Mühlemann as Susanna, Florian Boesch as Il Conte, Christiane Karg as La Contessa, Julien van Mellaerts as Figaro, Marie McLaughlin as Marcellina, Angelo Pollak as Basilio and Don Curzio, Maurizio Muraro as Bartolo and Antonio, and Julia Lezhneva as Barbarina. This is the prelude to a cycle of Da Ponte operas conducted by Sir András Schiff, who has at his disposal his illustrious ideal cast.
