‘Norma’ at Staatsoper Hamburg
Next month, Angela Brower returns to Staatsoper Hamburg as Adalgisa in Yona Kim’s production of Norma under the baton of conductor Paolo Arrivabeni.
Bellini’s richly expressive score, highlighted by the famous aria “Casta Diva,” weaves together emotional depth and vocal virtuosity through themes of love, betrayal, and sacrifice. Starring Olga Peretyatko in the title role, the cast will also include Marcelo Álvarez as Pollione, Hubert Kowalczyk as Oroveso, Renate Spingler as Clotilde and Seungwoo Simon Yang as Flavio.
The performances are scheduled for February 13, 16, 20, and 22.
