Semperoper Dresden Debut in ‘Ariadne auf Naxos’

Angela Brower will be making her Semperoper Dresden debut this month as Komponist in their upcoming production of Ariadne auf Naxos.

Ms. Brower is known for her exceptional portrayals of Strauss roles and has recently wowed audiences as the composer at Festival Aix-en-Provence and Glyndebourne.

The talented cast will also feature Catherine Hunold as Ariadne, Sarah Aristidou as Zerbinetta, Gregory Kunde as Bacchus, and Sebastian Wartig as Harlekin, among others. The production is a collaboration between Semperoper Dresden, Opéra national de Lorraine Nancy, and Opéra de Lausanne, and is directed by David Hermann, with Christoph Gedschold leading from the podium.

The performance dates for Ariadne auf Naxos are February 23, March 15, and 26.
