‘The Cunning Little Vixen’ in Munich

In June, Angela Brower returns to Bayerische Staatsoper to reprise her role as the Fox in Barrie Kosky’s production of The Cunning Little Vixen.

Her previous performance as the Fox with the company received high praise from Opera News, who wrote “Angela Brower, in more than a welcome return to her former theatre, brought her fulsome voice, her gorgeous tonal colour and her acting talent to the part of the Fox. The scenes between the Vixen and the Fox were touching, enthralling, charming and sexy all at once.”

Joining Ms. Brower on stage is Elena Tsallagova as Vixen, Wolfgang Koch as Forester, Milan Siljanov as Vagabond, Mirjam Mesak as Innkeeper’s Wife, Liam Bonthrone as Innkeeper, Martin Snell as Priest, Jonas Hacker as Schoolmaster and Lindsay Ammann as Forester’s wife, among others. Conducted by Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, the performances are scheduled for June 10, 13, 17, and 20.
